Lauren Beukes is a young South African fantasy novelist who is in huge demand for her skills as an alterator of reality.
She’s best known as the author of Zoo City, a hardboiled thriller about crime, magic, the music industry, refugees and redemption set in a re-imagined Johannesburg and Moxyland, a speculative science fiction novel set in a future Cape Town.
Her latest projects involves bending the rules of reality by writing alternate reality games [ARGs] and she’ll share some practical examples with us at BRAND HOOLIGANS 2010.
